Its unique level shifting serial interface allows for easy connection of multiple LTC6803-1/LTC6803-3 devices in series, eliminating the need for opto-couplers or isolators. Each cell input is equipped with a MOSFET switch for discharging overcharged cells, ensuring the safety and longevity of the battery system. The LTC6803-1 and LTC6803-3 variants offer enhanced features, catering to various application requirements. The LTC6803-1 is pin compatible with the LTC6802-1, offering a seamless upgrade path.
